Have your children's birthday party at Hasty's.

New for the 2022 season; outdoor party sessions in our dedicated party area.

What's included -

  • A 2hr session in our outside party area, led by a fully qualified party host. (This is under the cover of a large stretch tent in case of rain)
  • An animal feeding session.
  • Food for the birthday children (Choice of hot dog, ham or cheese roll, crisps and vegetable sticks) and our delicious Marshfield Ice-cream for dessert. Jugs of squash and water are also provided.
  • Party games including pass the parcel.
  • Entry into Hasty's for the rest of the day.

Party Times

Saturday and Sunday, 11am-1pm or 2-4pm

Pricing

The cost is £16 per child, and each child gets an adult in for free. 

(The birthday child is £16 also, but gets 2 adults for free)

Extra adults or siblings/children attending the farm will be charged normal admittance.

Numbers

Minimum of 10 children.

Maximum of 18 children.

School Visits

At Hastys Adventure Farm we are able to offer a wealth of resources and experiences allowing learners from age 2 – 18yrs to explore many areas of the National Curriculum within an inspiring, hands on ‘real life’ farming environment. Children will be encouraged to be curious and ask questions about what they notice through exploration and encounters between living things and familiar environments. From animals to micro habitats, nutrition and digestion to genetics and evolution.

A typical days schedule will be:

  • 9.45am Welcome and introduction to safety whist at Hastys. Storing Bags in the Discovery Barn where they will be safe for the day.
  • 10:15 - Snack
  • 10:25 - Start Trails and exploring for clues and information.
  • 12:35 - Lunch
  • 1:15 - Afternoon Hastys Guided activity.
  • 1:45 - Wash hands, collect bags and say Goodbye.

KS1 - The Hungry Caterpillar Trail

This covers many sections of the curriculum for Science, Maths, Geography, PSHE and Art & Design.

The trail focuses on the life cycle of a Butterfly.

The self-led trail is best done in small groups with an adult to help them get the best from the different environments the trail will take them to.

The afternoon activity is led by a Hastys Team member, who will take the children altogether and Read the Hungry Caterpillar story whist the children enjoy a fruit kebab using the same fruits that the caterpillar loves in the book.

KS1 - The Minibeast Ball Trail

This covers many sections of the curriculum for Science, maths, Geography, PSHE and Art & Design.

The Trail focuses on all types of native minibeast.

There are specifically designed trail boards for each educational trail which the children have to find and explore all around Hastys. The self-led trail is best done in small groups with an adults to help them get the best from the different environments the trail will take them to.

The afternoon activity involves making a small bug house for the children to take home for a garden or window box. It is made from a recycled drinks bottle which the children will fill with natural things found on the farm. This is followed by a themed story.

KS2 - Runaway Pancake Trail

This Trail covers many section of the curriculum for Science, Maths, Geography, History,and PSHE.

The trail involves finding information from around Hastys, on specifically designed boards for this trail. The exploring trail investigates all the ingredients required to make a Pancake.

The Hastys Team guided afternoon activity will be , helping to collect eggs from the chickens, grind wheat into flour, and discuss where milk comes from. We then whisk the ingredients together and fry up the pancakes.

Teachers

Teachers are responsible for the children in their group at ALL times. Clothing we recommend that all visitors come prepared according to the weather conditions. Sturdy shoes or wellington boots, and waterproof jackets are a must when dealing with the unpredictable British weather!
